Academic

• Grading papers for content: a whole analysis of the paper, and suggestions about what to do to the content in order to make it more substantial. ($20 dollars per half hour)
• Grading papers for grammar and mechanics: paper is graded for correct grammar and mechanics. ($20 dollars per half hour)
• A combination of both content and grammar/mechanics: Paper is looked over thoroughly for both its content and its grammar and mechanics. ($25 dollars per half hour)
• Homework Assistance: Homework will be checked over, looking specifically for accuracy, punctuation, spelling, and mechanics. ($25 dollars per half hour or 70 dollars per month)
• “Sit-downs”: EAT offers homework assistance in this option, by being with the children while they do it, to ensure two things: one, that a physical presence encourages the students to stay focused and engaged, and two, help with the homework is immediate, as is the feedback.

Parental Support

• Attending Parent/Teacher Conferences: In addition to being in contact with teachers via phone and e-mail, EAT, LLC. will attend teacher conferences with the parent. Having a tutor there, in order to meet the teachers, to better understand the teachers’ academic objectives, and to solidify the working relationship among parent, teacher, and tutor are all things the parent will benefit from when using this particular service ($50 dollars per meeting)
• Attending IEP Meetings: A student who has an individualized education plan needs the support of his parents, his teachers, and also, a tutor, who can support the parents in their quest to ensure proper support is being given to their children. If needed, clarification of certain accommodations and modifications can be explained. ($50 dollars per meeting)
• Discipline Support: Discipline and learning go hand in hand. If there is not a regimented system of structure and consequence, if the child does not meet his or her academic responsibilities, EAT, LLC. will work with the parents in order to put a system in place where responsibility and accountability aid in academic excellence. (70 dollars per month)
